Time is precious. It’s so precious that it’s almost too limited. There’s always so much to do in so little time. Unfortunately, there’s never enough time to exercise. You just got to admit it. It’s not easy to find time for exercise. Time is just too limited to make way for some regular exercise. But if you think hard about it, is it really?
Wake Up Early
Anything is possible if you really want to do it. Too little time is always a good excuse. You can’t find time because you don’t want to find it. But if you think about it, there’s more than enough time.
How can you find time to exercise? It’s simple. You wake up early. You’re probably thinking, “I already get up early!” Well then you should wake up earlier.
It’s really possible to find time. To integrate a regular workout in your daily life, get up earlier. It’s really just a matter of adjusting. There’s enough time if you want it make way for it. It may seem a little too surreal for you. It may even sound too impossible. In your mind, you’re saying, “Who wants to get up early?”
Sure, no one wants to get up early to exercise. But the good news is this. Once you get used to it, you’ll want to do it over and over again. So think about it.
Find A Workout You Love To Do
You need to find an exercise routine you want to do. How can you sustain an exercise routine if you don’t like it?
Just because yoga’s trending doesn’t mean you need to do it. You just have to be honest with yourself. Ask yourself, “Do I really want to this this?” Don’t join the bandwagon for support. It’s easy to find support. What’s important is you do what you want to do. You’ll be able to sustain the workout. It’ll be a lot easier for you to do it regularly.
Think Of The Other Benefits Aside From Weight Loss
Stop thinking you need to lose weight. Your mind already knows that. Stop pressuring yourself. You’ll end up too desperate.
Remember, you’re already doing something about your weight gain. Focus on what you need to do. And include the other benefits of your regular exercise workout. Here’s a good example. A morning workout can give you a good head start for the day. At the same time, you’ll drop a couple of pounds. Together with that, you’ll feel amazing. So just think of all the benefits of a regular workout and healthy eating. You’ll be more than inspired and motivated to do it regularly.
Change Your Mindset
So you really want to workout regularly, right? You’re desperate to find time to do it. Then you should really change your mindset. You can’t keep on saying, “Oh no! I gotta exercise!” Stop looking at it as if it’s a punishment or a burden. Because it’s not.
You need to change your mindset. Start looking forward to it. Exercise is not a form of punishment. It’s your precious time alone. It should also not be a burden. After all, it makes you feel great. It really just takes a change of mindset. You’ll find time to exercise with a positive mindset.
Learn To Adjust
This is an important factor in finding time to exercise. You need to adjust to be able to find time. And of course, you’ll be able to do that if you really want to. But the reality is this. There will be times when you can’t stick to your regular time. There will be times when you need to attend to other things. You’ll feel this when there’s so much work to be done. Or maybe even during the holidays. No matter how determined you are, something will always come up. That’s a fact.
So what are you to do? Find time again. It’s really simple. But of course, it’s easier said than done. If you missed your morning routine, don’t fret. Don’t even give up. You can always find time to do it within the day.
An early morning meeting is never a good excuse. If you missed your morning workout, find time within the day. This may happen once or twice within a week. It might even happen thrice a week. Here’s the point. You don’t have to stick to your regular workout time. If you missed your morning workout, find time within the day. It’s your time. You can always adjust it. That is, if you want to.
Not having enough time is really a rotten excuse. You simply can’t go on thinking there’s never enough time to exercise. There’s always time to do it, if you want to do it. You can start with the five easy ways to find time to exercise. Eventually, you’ll be exercising regularly.

Maybe tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then the day after. I can always start tomorrow. When it comes to losing weight, I can always start tomorrow.
That had always been my weight loss plan. Such was why it remained as one for the longest time. It took me so many tomorrows to start my weight loss.
What Finally Got Me Started
It literally took me years to start to lose weight. The tomorrows accumulated to years, lots and lots of it. Even if I needed to lose weight badly, it took me years. It wasn’t easy for me to start a weight loss program.
But what finally got me started was a bombardment of insults. Or maybe they weren’t insults. I think they were facts but very hurting facts. Everybody kept on telling me how fat I was. I couldn’t take it anymore. It was the always the first thing my friends would say. It bothered me so much. I couldn’t understand how people could be so rude. But then again, probably they weren’t rude. Probably they were just being brutally honest.
Whether they were being rude or brutally honest, I got affected. As a matter of fact, I was badly affected. It pretty much got me down. But it got me to finally start losing weight.
Hurdling The Start
It was pretty easy for me to decide to lose weight. With all the comments I was getting, I had to decide. It was a no brainer. It was starting my diet that was hard. I knew I had to let go of old habits. It was the only way for me to lose weight safely.
The first thing I did was to lessen my breakfast. I didn’t skip it totally because I’d end up starving. And if I starved, I’d end up eating too much. I just made sure to grab something filling for breakfast. So I stopped grabbing a doughnut. I even stopped going for a piece of bread. Instead, I grabbed a banana. Then I was off for the day.
Before I started my diet, I used to start my day with a big breakfast. Eggs, breads, and cereals were my basic breakfast foods. Of course with bread, I would spread an unforgivable layer of butter. With that kind of breakfast everyday, I was doomed for weight gain.
But I had to start. So I immediately cut down on my breakfast. It took some time to get used to it but I did. I had to train my mind to just eat a banana for breakfast. The best part of it was that I had more time to do other things. Eating a full breakfast required more time. With a banana, I spent less time eating. I got to do other things. I found it convenient after some time.
I did hurdle through a mean meal for breakfast. After years of eating a full breakfast, I felt deprived. Actually, I felt very, very deprived. But I had to do it. To survive my hunger pangs, I drank some flavored hot tea. Sometimes I would eat another banana to stop the hunger. But most importantly, I took my mind off my hunger. I just concentrated on my work. And that helped a lot. After some time, I got used to eating a mean meal for breakfast. My banana morning habit even gave me more time to exercise before going to work.
Splurging A Little For Lunch
I figured I’d splurge a little for lunch. After all, I usually have more time to eat during lunch time than breakfast time. So lunchtime is when I actually sit down and enjoy my meal. I savor it. It gives me a good break from work.
I’m not saying it’s easy because IT’S NOT! I can proudly say that I’ve survived it. But honestly, I struggled through it. There are days when I still get tempted to grab a big breakfast.
So how did I survive it? I allowed my body to adjust. I didn’t give in to temptation. I had to give my body time but I didn’t take my time to do it. Which means that I didn’t expect my body to change right away. But I didn’t waste any time in getting back to shape. So that lessened the pressure and desperation to lose weight. I focused on changing my eating habits without actually pressuring and depriving myself.
Eventually my body and mind got used to it. Nowadays, I wake up grabbing a banana instead of having a big breakfast. The best part is that I have time to exercise.
I have been procrastinating my dieting because I never thought I could do it. But with the right attitude, I survived it and I’m pretty sure you can too.
Yes! It’s possible to avoid the weight gain over the holidays. I’m not saying it’s easy. But I just think it’s possible.
The holiday season brings a delicious array of foods. Every kind of food is served during this particular season. That’s what makes it so exciting. I know I look forward to my mom’s home-cooked ham. She only makes it during the holiday season. Unfortunately that gives me a reason to gorge on it. But that shouldn’t be the case. At some point, I have to say no to it. The once-a-year serving is not an excuse for me to gorge.
At some point, we have to say no. Of course, we say it graciously. But we need to take it easy. We need to slow down. We cannot stuff ourselves just because it’s a rarely served dish.
Don’t Stop Exercising
It’s funny. We all know that the holiday season is a merry time to eat. But most of the time, we forget to exercise. It’s ironic that we seem to drop our exercise routine around this time. Why? Because there are too many parties to attend to. But that shouldn’t be the case. The more we should exercise and eat within reason during the holiday season.
Stop When The Stomach’s Full
We eat when we’re hungry. But during the holiday season we eat and eat and eat. Sometimes we don’t even know why. But we just end up eating and eating. With so much food on the table, we just eat and eat.
Here’s the thing that we should do. We should stop when our tummy is full. No matter how much food there is, we just can’t eat and eat. I know it’s easier said than done. But it can really be done. Besides, it’s going to hurt if we eat and eat. First and foremost, it’s a sure weight gain. Second, it’s a sickening feeling afterwards. Stuffing ourselves to the brim is such a yucky feeling.
Share The Food
There’s so much food during the holiday season. We get all kinds of gifts and they’re mostly edible. Sometimes too edible that we want to eat them all. But we can’t and we shouldn’t. If there’s so much food, then we should share it. If we keep everything at home, we’ll end up eating it.
It’s hard not to eat especially when there’s so much food. Even if we’re not hungry, it’s tempting especially when it’s laid out in front of us. Who can say no to the yummy pies, cookies, hams, salads, and eggnog; to mention a few?
The point is, we should eat only when we’re hungry. No matter what kind of food is laid out for us, we should only eat when we’re hungry. If we’re tempted, we can just eat a little of it. But we shouldn’t stuff ourselves especially if we aren’t hungry at all. So we really need to remember this. If we’re not hungry, we shouldn’t eat. We just can’t stuff ourselves for no reason at all.
It really is possible to avoid weight gain over the holiday season. It just takes a little determination. We have to be determined because at some point, we’ll regret eating too much.
